Asphalt rejuvenation is the process of restoring chemical properties that have been deteriorating since the moment new asphalt was laid down.
Total Contracting Services Limited Asphalt Rejuvenator is specially designed to restore original properties to aged asphalt binders by restoring the original ratio of asphaltenes to maltenes. Maltenes are the light oil component of asphaltic cement (AC). Asphaltenes are the black solids that provide the gluing characteristics of AC. The maltenes are the medium through which the asphaltene are dispersed. |
By rejuvenating and softening hard, brittle binder, it stops surface cracking and heals small hairline cracks to seal out water to reduce the potential additional craching, raceling or stripping. It halts asphalt aging and restores asphalt flexibility for a complete rehabilitative and long term preservation result.
